Weaver, Alabama, is a perfect example of small-town Southern life. Area churches, the police station and Elwell City Park are all within walking distance of main street, as is the post office and local youth softball/baseball complex. Weaver is known for its love of area sports and for friendly locals. It is a growing community that is continually improving while holding to the essence of its Southern small-town charm.Currently (2009) the mayor of the City of Weaver is Garry Bearden.
