Weimar Saxon-Grand Ducal Art School (Grossherzoglich-Sächsische Kunstschule Weimar) was an art school set up by decree by Charles Alexander, Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach
on 1 October 1860. It existed until 1910. That year it was promoted to a Kunsthochschule
as the Großherzoglich Sächsische Hochschule für Bildende Kunst in Weimar. It is not to be confused with the Fürstlichen freien Zeichenschule
(1776–1930), which from 1860 gave the preliminary teaching before admission to the art school.
