Kota Kinabalu Harbour is one of the sea ports in the state's 1,440km long coast. It serves as the gateway for water transport in Sabah. It handles as much as 4,031,000 freight tonne annually. Kota Kinabalu International Airport not only serves the West Coast division, but also acts as the gateway to and from the International community. The Independent Power Producer in Melawa and Karambunai supplies 50 and 4 x 30 MW power generating capacity for the division.
