. The center of West End is the multiplex of two primary state highways; NC 211 and NC 73.

In 2010, the village of Pinehurst incorporated Pinewild which is just a few miles east of West End. Like West End being unincorporated, Seven Lakes, McLendon Hills and Beacon Ridge also have no municipal government.

History
West End was once prosperous when Stanley Furniture employed hundreds in the area. By the mid 2000's it has left the area, leaving a big real estate hole in the area. Furniture jobs throughout North Carolina have been lost as West End was one of many areas.Future
