The Western Indiana Conference is a seven-member IHSAA
-sanctioned conference in seven different counties in South Central and West Central Indiana. The conference formed in 1998, and the only changes in membership were in football, where South Vermillion played independently for the 2007 and 2008 seasons before rejoining the conference.
