Western Iowa Tech Community College, or WIT as it is often called, is an institution of higher education with five campuses in northwestern Iowa

WITCC offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in over 170 different programs. Although, WITCC does not have NJCAA-associated athletics teams, WIT does offer numerous intramurals and a few club sports that compete as the WITCC Comets. WITCC is also part of the Iowa Community College Online Consortium, a group of community colleges from across the state that work together to give students opportunities for online education. Students can complete an entire degree through WIT online.

The main campus is located just off the corner of Stone Avenue and Gordan Drive in Sioux City. Through the main campus, Western Iowa Tech offers a variety of ways to get started or finishing. You can obtain an associates degree, a dipoloma, or a certificate from WIT. You can also just come to campus to take refresher courses.Other Campuses

Student Life
In the fall of 2010, credit student enrollment surpassed earlier records with a headcount of 6,421 (up 10 percent from the previous year) and credit hours of 60,667 (up 14 percent from the previous year). Credit hours were evenly divided between arts and sciences and career technical programs. All sectors manifest significant growth but greatest growth in credit hours was shown in career and technical programs (up 18 percent) and online courses (up 26 percent).
