The Western Switzerland Railways was a former Swiss rail company, formed in 1872 and absorbed into the Western Switzerland–Simplon Railway in 1881.

On 1 February 1877 the line from Yverdon-les-Bains
to Payerne was opened. On 20 December 1876 it absorbed the Jougne–Eclépens Railway Company (JE), established in 1870. On 28 June 1881 the company merged with the Simplon Company (S) to create the Western Switzerland–Simplon Company
(French: Suisse-Occidentale-Simplon, SOS).
