Layout and construction
Before the construction of White Cyclone in 1995, there had previously been only two wooden roller coasters ever constructed in Japan. These coasters, Jupiter and White Canyon, were erected in 1992 and 1994 respectively—after height restrictions on wooden structures were relaxed by the Japanese government.
