 and moved to Charlottesville, Virginia at age 11. He met his fellow bandmates Kit French, Johnny Stubblefield, and Alex Hargrave all in high school and met Nate McFarland in college at the University of Virginia, where they were both members of The Virginia Gentlemen

He wrote all of the songs featured on the album "Losing Sleep" writing the hit "She Is Love" in only about 10 minutes.

"I wanted to write as straightforward a love song as I could. It really just came to me and took 10-15 minutes to write. We didn’t think it was going to be anything and it really took on a life of its own."


His younger brothers names are Charles and John. Girlfriend of 2011 named Karly Porras. Charles, brother. works at a Young Life camp in New York.

Professional career

On June 9, 2009, Anderson and his fellow band member Kit French were featured on the online series "Live from Daryl's House". On the show they played several Parachute songs, including "All That I Am", "She", and "Under Control", as well as two Daryl Hall and John Oates classics, "It's a Laugh" and "Say it Isn't So".
