Early career

In round 19, 2002, Will debuted for the Geelong Football Club after missing senior selection in his first year due to injury. Will then managed only 11 games between 2002 and 2005 due to chronic osteitis pubis

Will was delisted and redrafted in 2005/2006, playing the first seven games of the season and having a big impact in the 2006 NAB night grand final. The win was the Geelong Football Club's first premiership since the 1963 grand final.

Will was delisted again at the end of the 2006 season, and despite training with Hawthorn prior to the pre-season draft, was not selected.
