living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.3% were non-families. 15.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.85 and the average family size was 3.18.
In the township the population was spread out with 27.6% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 16.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 94.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.7 males.
The median income for a household in the township was $31,528, and the median income for a family was $33,125. Males had a median income of $24,375 versus $18,750 for females. The per capita income

History
Organization of Willmont Township (note the double-L) was approved by the Nobles County Board on November 12, 1878. There was a general disagreement over the township name, one faction wishing to call it Willumet, and the other favoring Lamont.
