Winston-Salem Polar Twins

The Winston-Salem Polar Twins is a name held by two professional hockey franchises in Winston-Salem, NC. The first Polar Twins franchise operated in the 1970s before folding. They were followed by the Carolina Thunderbirds. After several other franchises in Winston-Salem, a new team was launched in the 2004-05 season with the name "Polar Twins." They were a member of the SPHL.

They folded after the inaugural season. They played their home games at the LJVM Coliseum Annex
