) waking up in the morning with her alarm clock buzzing off. She uses a spell to make the day back to 6:30. She then goes into the bathroom where Justin (David Henrie
) is observing himself in the mirror where Alex pushes him to the side. He gets annoyed and then uses magic to put her in to the mirror. In the kitchen, Max (Jake T. Austin
) has an orange which turns into a chocolate cupcake. Meanwhile, Harper (Jennifer Stone
) meets Alex at the front door. Back at the kitchen, Max is about to put his cupcake into his backpack when his mother, Theresa (María Canals Barrera
), makes him turn it back into an orange. Alex tells her mother that she is late for school (which would be weird because earlier Alex made the day earlier). In the lair, Jerry (David DeLuise
) is talking to someone when a laptop flies away. He then goes to retrieve it. In the sub shop, Alex opens her book bag where the laptop goes into. Jerry lectures her as the main title card appears. Then the four friends walk to school with Theresa and Jerry waving.

Justin meets a girl, Isabella, online and meets up with her. When his sister tells him she's a dog, he doesn't believe her so asks her, but she tells him she's a werewolf. Justin says he doesn't care, and kisses her but she reveals when you kiss a werewolf, you become a werewolf so Justin and Isabella run into the forest together. Justin's family find him and undo the spell to make him a wizard again. When shot with Cupid's arrow, Justin falls for Harper Finkle, and they begin dating but it soon wears off and they go back to being friends. Justin and Harper, who has a long-term crush on him, begin to date again seemingly and attend many silent movies together. His sister, however, sabotages their relationship to keep them from dating and Justin tells her she's not so bad as long as she doesn't fuss over him, but they stop dating. When Justin meets Max's Tutor, Tutor, he gets a crush on her and they begin dating. He's, however, creeped out that she has become such good friends with his sister. After Tutor's finished teaching Max, she can't come back anymore so they have to break up, but Justin realizes he was only drawn to her as she's half-elf. When he wins a cruise on the S.S. Tipton, he falls for London Tipton who, as not the smartest, believes he's a doctor so agrees to date him. When Justin gets pulled away from their date as he has to get his picture taken for winning the competition, London sees him and says he looks exactly like her date. She then becomes attracted to his brother. When the Van Heusen family open a sandwich shop right next to the Sub Station, they begin to lose business. They send Justin over as a spy, but he meets Juliet Van Heusen, the owner's daughter, and falls for her. Their parents say they can't date, as their businesses are competing but once learning she's now the good child of the family, Justin's sister changes their parents' minds. Justin discovers Juliet is a vampire, and she tells him she knows he's a wizard. Juliet influences Justin's family by telling them they have to eat healthier. Justin and Juliet get more serious and reveal to each other that they have fallen in love.
Max goes on his first date, with his classmate, Jeanette, at the Sub Shop. However, he has been using magic to humiliate his brother in an attempt to impress her, so his brother turns him into a clown and she leaves.

Alex has another love interest, her classmate Dean Moriarty, and tries to impress him by using magic to make him think she's smart. In another episode, when Alex's nemesis, Gigi Hollingsworth, finds her diary which she draws in, she finds out about Alex's crush on Dean. When Gigi gets trapped, she gets back out and is convinced she hit her head. She tells the school of Alex's crush on Dean and Alex admits what she does in her diary, but denies it was Dean who was the Prince in her drawings. He still, however, seems impressed. She later asks him if he'll help fix an old car of her father's, which he agrees to do. Dean then enters it in a race once fixing it, but Alex gets mad when her family begin to like Dean and he doesn't spend as much time with her. Alex then transports herself into the car during the race to talk to Dean, who reveals he likes her. Dean asks Alex out, but on a triple date. After Alex eliminates the other couples so that she can be alone with Dean, she realizes he wants to kiss her. On the date, she tries to distract Dean so that he won't, but after he tells her he likes her too much, they kiss. Alex promises she won't abandon him, but then runs off to help her brother. She comes back and they make up. Alex later reveals she doesn't like how badly Dean expresses his feelings. When wizard students stay at the Russos' due to Wiz Tech being closed down, Ronald Longcape Jr. begins to develop feelings for her. Alex feels guilty when she thinks she's falling in love with Ronald. Ronald gets rid of Dean and then transforms into him as to break up with Alex so he can be with her. Ronald takes advantage of her and makes her evil like him and his father so that they can rule. Alex then reveals she's in love with Dean, so is transformed back. Dean is back and starts calling Alex his girlfriend. Tired of lying to her best friend, she reveals magic to Harper by taking her into space on her birthday. Dean moves away, but Alex tries to continue dating him in his dreams with the use of magic. When he comes to see her, they go out on a date but she realizes they've drifted apart and aren't the same so breaks up with him, who has no reaction. He later comes back and tells her it hurt too much. When her brother wins a cruise on the S.S. Tipton, she goes also and meets Zack Martin, who develops a crush on her and asks her out, but she says no. When he gets blamed for a prank she pulled on her brother, he finds out it was her and asks her where she's been all of his life.Justin meets a girl, Isabella, online and meets up with her.
