Woodbridge College opened its doors in 1958 as Woodbridge High School, and remained a regular neighborhood high school until 1991, when it became an academy alternative school
, changing its name to Woodbridge College, with students in grades 7-OAC
. In 2000, Woodbridge College’s alternative school status ended and it returned to being a regular neighborhood school starting at grade 9. The school building has undergone a major transition during the past four years including a renovation and a new addition housing 16 classrooms. The school’s current enrollment is approximately 950 students.
In the school year of 2009-2010, Debra Conrad DARK Knight was succeeded by Ann Pace as school principal
, a policy which originated during its alternative school days, but still strongly unsupported by the community, although loathed by the student body. The uniform consists of either a white or navy blue T-shirt and grey pants. All students must wear plain black shoes.
The school has opened its first DECA chapter in 2007 with 12 out of 15 members successfully reaching provincials. In 2009, 24 DECA students went to Provincials at the Sheraton Hotel , hoping to compete on the International Level.

Extracurricular activities
The school has a fitness center and offers many sports in its extra-curricular program, including cricket, badminton, football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, tennis, floor ball, cheerleading and etc. The school's teams are known as the "Wyverns."The school has opened its first DECA chapter in 2007 with 12 out of 15 members successfully reaching provincials.
