The Woods College of Advancing Studies demands of its students the same high standards in academics, moral character and commitment to the betterment of society as is required of all of Boston College’s traditional undergraduate and graduate students. For this reason the same degree bestowed upon the students in The College of Arts and Science is awarded to students in The Woods College upon successful completion of their undergraduate work.

The Woods College of Advancing Studies offers numerous undergraduate degree programs, including:

Students are also allowed to complete other majors or minors by registering for the necessary courses through the other constituent schools of Boston College.

Core undergraduate requirement

For all undergraduate degrees offered at the Woods College of Advancing Studies there is a core requirement program that must also be fulfilled by the student in addition to concentration-specific courses.

Corporate Systems Major

The Corporate Systems major requires completion of the distribution core and a professional studies certificate area focusing on essential knowledge professionals must master. The professional studies areas are Accounting, Communication, Criminal and Social Justice, Finance, Information Technology, Management or Marketing.

Master of Science

The Woods College of Advancing Studies offers a Master of Science Program in Administrative Studies. This program focuses producing students who can face the challenges of decision-making and troubleshooting in the workplace, and utilizes the case study approach as well as simulations.
