, the Conception Bay North Jr. Stars of the St. John's Junior Hockey League, and their rivals from Richibucto. The Slammers would make the finals and defeat Cape Breton 4-1 to win their only Don Johnson Cup
as Maritime Champions. The Slammers are the second and last New Brunswick team to have won the Don Johnson Cup, the first being the Richibucto Bears
the year before.
In 2009-10, the Slammers set MJAHL records for most points in a season (92) and longest undefeated streak (26 straight wins). Both records had previously been held by the now defunct Charlottetown Abbies
