Based in Geneva with headquarters in London, the goal is to promote the awareness, adoption and implementation of these services around the world. The Forum works with sound and data broadcasters, network providers, manufacturers, governments and official bodies to encourage international co-operation and a smooth, coordinated roll-out of services.

The membership consists of 80 companies and organisations around the world which have a stake in seeing digital radio grow to an international mass market medium. They include public and private broadcasters, receiver and electronic equipment manufacturers, car manufacturers, data providers, transmission providers, regulators and government bodies.
The Forum's work includes:
Overseeing the Eureka 147 standard, ensuring compatibility between broadcast and receiver equipment; supervising upgrades, and future proofing the technology

More than half a billion people around the world can receive DAB services from over 1,000 radio stations.
