House system
The House system was set up in 1975. There are currently four Houses, each named after a prominent person except Abbey, which was named after Wymondham Abbey. The other houses are Cheshire, Ellis, and Macmillan. This makes possible the care and intimacy of a small unit, combined with all the advantages in terms of resources and finance which the larger school can offer. Houses and tutor groups contain pupils from years 7 to 11 providing each pupil with the experience of being part of an extended family unit. There are 12 tutor groups in each house.Sixth form
The Wymondham High Sixth Form is one of Norfolk's top post-GCSE educational facilities, placing second in 2008's A/AS Level league tables and consistently fetching results well above the national average. It was quoted as 'outstanding' in a recent OFSTED report.Notable alumni
