). It is famous as a seaside tourist spot and are well equipped with a number of hotels. Its nearest communications tower is on a mountain southwest of town (about 6 km). A medium earthquake rumbled the town and some of its surroundings a few kilometres into the sea on Friday October 24, 2008 and measured 4.5 on the Richter scale.

Geography

Its geography varies from farmlands within the coastline and parts of the south, forests in the southeast and mostly grassy to the southwest.
