Yamaha S-80

The Yamaha S-80 is a 88 weighted-key synthesizer, produced by Yamaha Corporation.
It was released as Yamaha's flagship stage and studio synthesizer in 1999, and retailed for approximately US $3,000 before its discontinuation in 2002. It was superseded by the S-90
. The S-80 is 1,329mm (52 5/16") long, 157mm (6 3/16") high, and 371mm (16 5/8") deep, and weighs 24.3 kg (53.8 lbs).
Yamaha also produced a smaller version of the S80, the S30, which contained the same sound module as the S80 in a 64-note keyboard.
The tone generation module of the S30/S80 utilized Yamaha's Advanced Wave Memory 2 algorithm (AWM2), providing 256 built-in voices and 8 drum kits with a polyphony of 64 voices.
