 in the 18th century and recreated for Yatri by the late Gerhard Finkenbeiner, a master glass blower in Waltham Massachusetts from Franklin’s original sketches.

Before discovering the Glass Armonica Yatri, then known as Kathryn Root, was a prominent Canadian concert pianist who toured internationally as soloist and with the chamber group Camerata. Since 1988 she has performed exclusively on the Glass Armonica writing music for theater, dance, and film. She lives in the US with her husband pianist Peter Elyakim Taussig
