Yelahanka is a suburb of Bangalore

originally envisaged as a satellite town of Bangalore city, but now part of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike.
Yelahanka has became one of the main business centres of Bangalore City. Yelahanka's business areas are Hospital Main Road and BB road in Yelahanka and in the new town are 16th 'B' Cross Road and Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan Road.
Yelahanka has lakes surrounding it, the prominent ones being Yelahanka Kere and Puttenhalli lake which has officially been declared a bird sanctuary.

Majority of express and passenger trains halt at the Yelahanka Jn. station,connecting it to all major cities and towns in the country. Yelahanka is located near the fast developing northern section of Greater Bangalore, about 14 kilometers from downtown Bangalore. National Highway NH7 passes through Yelahanka and newly constructed NH7 passes through the north eastern fringes of Yelahanka.
