The Yeshivat Beit Yisrael massacre was a suicide bombing which occurred on March 2, 2002 at the entrance of the ultra-Orthodox Yeshiva
"Beit Yisrael" located in downtown Jerusalem. Eleven Israeli civilians were killed in the attack, including two infants and three children.
The Palestinian Islamist militant organization al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades
claimed responsibility for the attack.

A little after 19:00 pm the Palestinian suicide bomber detonated the explosive device next to a group of ultra-Orthodox women whom were waiting for their husbands outside of the Yeshiva together with their children.
11 people were killed in the attack, including two infants and three children. Over 50 people were injured in the attack, four of them in critical condition.
