Yichun is a prefecture-level city
on the Songhua river
north of Tieli
in Heilongjiang
province in northeast China
. The city is separated from Russia by the Heilongjiang River and sharing a boundary of 246 kilometers (153 miles) with the country. At the 2010 cencus, Yichun has a total population of 1,148,126 while 729,202 people live in 15 districts seprated by forests. The greening rate of Yichun is up to 83%. The nick name of Yichun is Lindu which means Forest Capital in Chinese Language
