Zaza Burchuladze

Zaza Burchuladze (born 9 Sempteber 1973 in Tbilisi, Georgia) is a contemporary postmodern Georgian
writer and dramatist.
Since 1998 he has been publishing his stories in Georgian newspapers and magazines such as “Arili” (Sun beam), “Alternative”, “Anabechdi” (Fingerprint), “Hot Chocolate”, “Playboy Georgia”, etc. Until 2001 published his works under a pen-name of Gregor Zamza (Zamza is the hero of Franz Kafka's story "The Metamorphosis"). Translated into Georgian books of Dostoevski, Sorokin, Elizarov, Bitov.
In 2007 starred in “Jako’s boarders”, film based on Mikhail Javakhishvili’s story of the same name.
Burchuladze's books have been translated into Russian, Polish and Romanian.

Biography
