History

  • June 1992: Construction began for the Zhonghe Line.
  • December 24, 1998: The Zhonghe Line opened for service.

Rolling stock

Over the years, three versions of rolling stock were used on this line, as well as on the through services between Nanshijiao and Beitou. Originally, the line used a large fleet of C301 train sets

. In 1999, only a few trains of C341 cars were used. In 2007, some trains of C371 cars were introduced. Today, the majority of the fleet used on this line is still the original C301 train sets.
