. The Re Division was mobilized in June 1940, and took part in the Invasion of Yugoslavia
. It was used as an occupation force in Croatia
and took part in anti partisan operations and the Battle of the Neretva. In September 1943 when it returned to Italy
and surrendered to the Germans after the Italian surrender.
