Superbike World Championship
season. The season started on April 1 at Donington Park
, and finished on October 19 at Phillip Island
after 13 rounds.
Doug Polen
won the rider's championship with 17 victories and Ducati won the manufacturer's championship.
The third round of the championship at Mosport was boycotted by the works riders on safety grounds.
