was the twenty-first race of the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup season
and the sixteenth NASCAR race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
(IMS). It was the first race under the ESPN/ABC
section of the TV coverage for the 2009 season. The 160-lap, 400 miles (643.7 km) event took place on July 26 at the 2.5 miles (4 km) IMS located in Speedway, Indiana

to claim victory, his third triumph at the storied venue.. It is also important to note that the race will be known as Allstate 400 as Allstate Insurance
