The 2011 Southern Steel season is the fourth season for the Southern Steel
in the ANZ Championship
. For their 2011 campaign, the Steel gained internationals Paula Griffin
and Natasha Chokljat
, but were unable to re-sign veteran Megan Dehn
. The southern franchise also lost the use of their main home venue during heavy snowfall, and will play their home games at alternate venues. Inaugural coach Robyn Broughton
continues her role in her fourth year, while Wendy Frew and Liana Leota will co-captain the Steel in 2011.
