Encyclopedia
The 2011–12 B PFG season is the 57th season of the Bulgarian B PFG, the second tier of the Bulgarian football league system
. The season started on 13 August 2011 and will finish in June 2012 with the A PFG
promotion play-off.
On 9 June the Executive Committee of Bulgarian Football Union
decided to reduce further the number of teams in both West and East B PFG due licensing problems in most of the clubs. The new format will consist 10 teams in each group playing three times during the season. There will be no draw for the matches between round 19 and round 27. The program will be issued depending the position of every club after the completion of round 18.
Like the last season the A PFG
promotion play-off will be played in two stages. The first will be the match between the runners-up from the East and West B PFG. The final stage will be played between the 14th finished team from A PFG and the winner from the first stage.

, finished in 13th place, because it filed bancrupcy. Pirin
did not even receive license for the B PFG, so the team will participate in V AFG
.
, Dunav Ruse and Ravda
decided to cancel their participation on the East B PFG and relegated from the group. Additionally the teams of Spartak Plovdiv and Brestnik
declared not being ready to fulfill the license regulations and voluntarily relegted in the V AFG
