6AQ5
Encyclopedia
The 6AQ5 is a miniature 7-pin (B7G) output beam tetrode
. Ratings are virtually identical to the 6V6
at 250V and was commonly used as an output audio amplifier
in tube TVs and radios. Also known under Mullard-Philips tube designation
EL90. There are also versions of this tube with extended ratings for industrial application which are designated as 6AQ5A and 6005W.
A push-pull pair are capable of producing at least 10W in class AB1.
Other close or equivalent tube types are: 6HG5, 6HR5, 6669, 6BM5, N727, CV1862 and the Tesla 6L31.

and 6P1P
. Note: The 6P1P is a 9 pin (B9A) device and, although electrically similar to a 6AQ5 the 6P1P is NOT a direct replacement. Another similar, but not identical, amplifier pentode with a miniature 9-Pin base, (B9A), used in consumer electronics was the 6M5.

6V6
The 6V6 is a beam-power tetrode, introduced by Radio Corporation of America RCA United States in late 1937, and still in use in niche applications.Similar to its predecessor the 6L6, the 6V6 was far more widely used...

Audio amplifier
An audio amplifier is an electronic amplifier that amplifies low-power audio signals to a level suitable for driving loudspeakers and is the final stage in a typical audio playback chain. The preceding stages in such a chain are low power audio amplifiers which perform tasks like pre-amplification,...

Mullard-Philips tube designation
In Europe, the principal method of numbering vacuum tubes was the nomenclature developed and used by Mullard in the UK and applied Europe-wide thanks to their parentage by Philips who had subsidiaries in Germany and France , plus the support of Telefunken, from 1934...

6P1P
The 6P1P is a Soviet-made miniature 9-pin beam tetrode vacuum tube with ratings similar to the 6AQ5, EL90 and the 6V6. Because of a different pinout than an 6AQ5/EL90, it cannot be used as a plug-in replacement for these types, however, it will work in the same circuit with component values...
