The ASB Challenge Series (also known as the ASB Phoenix Challenge) is a friendly match series competition in which a reserve side from A-League
team Wellington Phoenix compete in a series of friendly matches against opposition from the New Zealand National League, the ASB Premiership. The league is run separately from the ASB Premiership.
with Waikato FC
the first club to take on the Phoenix.
Interspersed between ASB Premiership and O-League fixtures, the ASB Challenge Series matches will offer a prize of $2000 to the winner of each game and be played at the ground of the ASB Premiership club with early evening midweek kickoffs. Prize money will be split if games are drawn.

Format
The ASB Challenge Series, which features the Wellington Phoenix reserve side taking on ASB Premiership clubs across New Zealand in eight winner-takes-all clashes, will begin on November 15 in HamiltonHamilton, New Zealand

Participating Clubs
