Greece vs. Canada

The Greeks completely thrashed Canada in game one of the Acropolis tournament, winning 123-49. The team set a new record for the highest point difference in an Acropolis tournament, 74 points. Canada's head coach blamed the long trip from Canada to Greece and a lack of energy as a result. The Greeks' Schortsianitis put down 24 points before sustaining an injury late in the third quarter, while Calathes

Greece vs. Serbia

 contested his three-point attempt. He began to lecture him and push him around. Teodosić roughly pushed him aside and soon they began fighting.  smashed a chair onto Ioannis Bourousis's head. Bourousis was not scheduled to appear on court due to injury and was watching the game on the bench. After the fight, for safety reasons, the game was terminated with final score the score at the time of the interruption (74-73 for Greece). Krstić was arrested and held overnight for assaulting Bourousis. For their roles in the melee, Krstić was suspended for the first three games of the tournament, while Teodosić, and Greece's Fotsis and Sofoklis Schortsanitis were suspended for the first two games.
