Ae concentrated all the way for enhancing desfensive strength against new superpowers and came to urge new brotherhood - Goryeo Dynasty. However, the outcome was not strong because of continuous conflict among the nobles who just looked for the next thrones eagerly.

But the real matter was the Khitans growing numerous power of Manchuria

. The Khitans established state called Liao Dynasty

, which cleared off past namadism and minor peoples' status. Finally, Liao invaded Balhae in 925 and Holhan fortress which had been 5 most important cities during those eras was taken away just after 10 days. In 926, Balhae was collapsed.

Aftermath

Balhae was fully taken over by the Khitan, who established the Dongdan Kingdom
