Agnieszka Radwańska AUD (born 6 March 1989 in Kraków
) is a WTA Tour Polish tennis player.
Her career high singles ranking is World No. 8, which she achieved on 22 February 2010. As of 24 October 2011, she is ranked World No. 8. In 2007, Radwańska became the first Polish player in history to claim a WTA Tour singles title when she won the Nordea Nordic Light Open
. In 2008, she won three more singles titles: the Pattaya Women's Open

In Doha, a turn of unusual events saw Agnieszka replace Vera Zvonareva

Zvonareva, who had already stepped in for Safina, would be one of four players to retire at the Championships, joining Safina, Azarenka, and Wozniacki. in the semifinals 6–2, 5–7, 6–2. She was forced to pull out of the 2011 Western & Southern Financial Group Women's Open held in Cincinnati due to right shoulder injury. At the New Haven Open at Yale she lost in the second round to Petra Cetkovská 6–4, 5–7, 6–3.
Seeded 12th at the 2011 U.S. Open
, she drew her sister, Urszula Radwańska
in the first round. She came out on top with a 6–2, 6–3 victory. She was upset in the second round to eventual semifinalist Angelique Kerber
by a score of 6–3, 4–6, 6–3. Partnering with Daniela Hantuchová they were able to reach the semifinals.
At the Toray Pan Pacific Open
she avenged her US Open loss by defeating Angelique Kerber in 3 sets coming back from dropping the first set. She then defeated Jelena Janković
2–6, 6–4, 6–0 and Kaia Kanepi
6–2, 7–6(7) to reach her fourth semifinal of the year. In the semifinal she defeated Victoria Azarenka 6–3, 4–6, 6–2. In the final she came back from a slow start against Vera Zvonareva to win the title 6–3, 6–2. This was her first Premier 5 title. The win raised her ranking to no. 12 in the world, and to no. 10 in the race to the WTA Season- Ending Championships.
At the 2011 China Open
she advanced to the finals by beating Zheng Jie

was unable to win the title in Moscow.
Radwańska was placed in the Red Group at the 2011 WTA Tour Championships
. She fell to Caroline Wozniacki 7–5, 2–6, 4–6 in her opening match. In her second round robin match, she defeated Vera Zvonareva 1–6, 6–2, 7–5 coming back from a 3–5 deficit in the third set and saving three match points. To advance to the semifinals she needed to win at least one set from Petra Kvitová. She started the match strong by jumping out to a 5-1 lead in the opening set, but the Czech rallied and won the match in straight sets 7-6(4), 6-3 eliminating Radwanska from the tournament. She ended the year ranked 8th with a 46-18 record.
Their first match occurred during the 2007 Kremlin Cup
, with Zvonareva winning in straight sets. The two did not play again until the 2011 season, when Radwańska won four of their five matches—including the finals of the Mercury Insurance Open and the Pan Pacific Open. Their final meeting of 2011 was an acclaimed match at the WTA Championships
