Aldridge-Brownhills is a borough constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom

(MP) by the first past the post system of election. Labour held the constituency from its formation in February 1974 until 1979, when it was won by the Conservatives who have held it ever since, even at their landslide defeat of 1997 which saw Labour claim even some of its "safest" seats.

. When held by the Labour Party the Constituency included the Pheasey
Ward, at that time a Labour area, which was later moved into Walsall South.
Under the proposed change to the boundaries Aldridge - Brownhills will disappear.
5 wards will join with Bloxwich and Blakenall to become an enlarged Walsall North constituency. Whilst Streetly will be linked to various wards to become an enlarged Walsall South.
