 poisoning after eating some monkshood while on a hike with his aunt in Newfoundland. He fell ill at her home in Centreville, Newfoundland and Labrador, then died later in hospital. In his memory, Noble's friends and family set up a scholarship fund in his name for the Theatre Department at the Sir Wilfred Grenfell College School of Fine Arts.
