HISTORY

The name Arimalam was originally derived from ARUM PAZHAM. A saint was very hungry when he was walking through Arimalam forest and he found a mango fruit which was very tasty. Therefore he named it as rare (Ariya) fruit (pazham). The name eventually became Arimalam. Even though it is very small, the people are very friendly.Form Previous Century On wards Nagarathar Peoples Was Developed This Village.
