History

Aspengrove School was founded in 2003 and was originally located at 6553 Portsmouth Road in Nanaimo.
There were 42 students and 8 faculty on a 1 acres (4,046.9 m²) lot. Over the summer of 2006 the school relocated and currently operates on a 40 acres (161,874.4 m²) parcel at 7660 Clark Drive in Lantzville. There are approximately 190 enrolled students and 21 faculty offering instruction from Jr. Kindergarten for 3-year-olds to Grade 12. The school is accredited as an International Baccalaureate World School (www.ibo.org) and offers Primary Years and Middle Years programmes. It got a perfect 10 out of 10 by the IB program in 2011.
