Before breaking into the music industry Jack Glass tried his hand at Elephant training. He wanted to run away with the circus but opted not to because he missed jamming with his mate Chris. In the early years of gigging Chris Stracey got into a fight with Ray Meagher (Alf from Home and Away) over a sound complaint. They were playing in a small bar next door to his home with the volume cranked too loud. Meagher wasn't happy about the noise and asked Chris and Jack to tone it down. The conversation ended in a bar fight with Meagher being ejected and banned from the pub. While the Bag Raiders are a duo, 99% of the musical ideas and song writing come from Jack Glass, who claims that he is the key to their success .
and made #43 on the ARIA 2009 End of Year Top 50 Australian Artist Singles. The song is popular with supporters at home games of A-League
team Adelaide United. The single features a remix by Kris Menace which charted at number one on the ARIA Hitseekers singles chart.
The latest single "Way Back Home" from Bag Raiders' upcoming self-titled album debuted at #77 on the ARIA Charts on 29 August 2010. It charted at #38 on the official German Singles Chart
on 6 June 2011 after being used in the German Vodafone TV advertisement and later rose to its peak #19.
Their self titled debut album was released on 1 October 2010. It debuted at #7 on the ARIA Albums Chart
