Village History
- Banga was founded by Baba gola ji servant[masand or gola] of guru gobind singh ji the original founding fathers descendents still live and own land in the area, and belong to the Mann clan. Baba gola ji cultivated the land and was told by Guru Gobind Singh ( the 10th Sikh Teacher) that he would be give protection if needed from invading forces. He had 3 sons Tungal, Sagar and Masand, and also a daughter whose descendents also reside in Banga as well. The village now city of Banga is divided into 3 quaderants of patti dall singh Tungal gate,patti Sagar gate and patti begh singh Masanda, begh singh,sagar singh,dall singh sons of baba gola ji and the descedents of each have traditionally resided within those ancestral lands.
