The Bazna, also known as the Basner and Porcul de Banat, is a breed
of domestic pig
that started to develop in 1872 from crosses between the Mangalitsa
and Berkshire
breeds. The breed became officially recognized in 1958. Bazna pigs are found in the central area of the Transylvania
region of Romania
and are colored black with a white belt.
