Eugen Beyer recognised that the cinema presented a new opportunity in communication media. The first products he produced were loudspeaker

World War II temporarily froze production, however, in 1948, beyerdynamic sought new beginnings in Heilbronn. The "Stielhörer" DT 49 became a cult item of "Plattenbars” (Record-Bars) in the 50’s. The "transistophone", the company's first wireless microphone, went into production in 1962. The 60’s brought accolade: The Beatles

In 2006 beyerdynamic introduced three new products. The new Opus 900 wireless systems, Headzone – the first mobile headphone system to allow professional monitoring with virtual 5.1 playback, and Revoluto, a new wireless conference microphone unit without a gooseneck microphone.
The latest inventions until 2011 include high-end aviation headsets with digital noise reduction, individually manufactured headphones for iPod fans and hifi headphones with novel Tesla Technology.
