This well-respected publication also ranked BGSU number two among Ohio business schools in academic experience and admission selectivity, a Top 10 school for minority student opportunities, and Top 15 in the U.S. for preparation in the area of accounting. BGSU's College of Business is one of only 171 colleges in the world accredited by AACSB International in both business and accounting.

The Supply Chain Management Program within the College of Business Administration has been ranked as a Top 20 program in the nation by U.S. News and World Report for three consecutive years. Students and their organizations have competed and placed in the Top 10 in a variety of national and international competitions, placing BGSU at the top of business schools nationwide to accomplish this.

Bowling Green State University, overall, is ranked #4 among national public universities for its undergraduate teaching excellence by U.S. News and World Report.

Undergraduate students at BGSU earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and then specialize from among 12 areas, including the new I-Degree specialization, a program where students can design their degree. Additionally, five master's programs are offered including the MBA (full-time,executive MBA, and Professional MBA), Master of Accountancy, Master of Economics, Master of Science in Applied Statistics, and Master of Organizational Development.

Accounting and Management Information Systems (AMIS)
The Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems (AMIS) at Bowling Green State University focuses on new information technology and the increasingly global business environment. The department’s goal is to develop accounting and information system leaders for the 21st century who will not only acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for their next job but also the tools for building a life-long successful career. The faculty includes a University Master Teacher and a Fulbright Scholar.

Undergraduate students who are majoring in business can choose from several specializations: accounting, information systems auditing and control (ISAC), and management information systems (MIS). At the graduate level, the department offers a Master of Accountancy with three tracks of specializations.

Applied Statistics and Operations Research (ASOR) The ASOR department offers graduate studies leading to a Master of Science in Applied Statistics and a Master of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Operations Research. At the undergraduate level, students can minor in applied statistics. The ASOR department is also home to the Center for Business Analytics which serves the needs of faculty and students pursuing research.

Economics The Department of Economics offers several choices of programs. Students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Economics, an undergraduate business degree with a specialization in economics, or they can minor in economics. A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in economics is also available in BGSU’s College of Arts and Sciences. At the graduate level, students can earn a Master’s in Economics which is known for its rigorous curriculum in macro- and micro- economic theory, econometrics, and the evaluation of public policy. This department has a BGSU Distinguished Teaching Professor and two Master Teachers. The economics department hosts conferences and colloquia each year that bring notable economists to campus while it also hosts an undergraduate student paper contest and conference.

Finance The Department of Finance offers undergraduate studies leading to a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in finance. Students can also study to earn the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) by taking courses in the Certified Financial Planner Concentration within the finance specialization. After completing courses in the financial planning concentration, students will meet the educational requirements of the CFP Certified Financial Board of Standards and be eligible to sit for the CFP certification examination. Faculty members publish papers in top-tier refereed journals and have earned distinguished research awards for their work.

Legal Studies The Department of Legal Studies has a faculty with strong academic and professional qualifications that successfully prepare students for a law career. The faculty includes a Distinguished Teaching Professor as well as a past president of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business, a national organization. The focus in pre-law is to emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving using ethical and legal paradigms, and a multi-cultural perspective.

Management The Department of Management is home to one of the nation’s top supply chain management programs, according to U.S. News and World Report. Along with the supply chain specialization, the department also offers an international business specialization and an international business minor so students are prepared for the global economy. A new specialization of management has also been added. At the graduate level, the department offers full-time and executive programs in organization development. Students can also earn a Certificate of Organizational Change. The faculty, which includes distinguished educators and endowed professors, are recognized internationally for their contributions to their fields. The department is home to the Supply Chain Management Institute and the Institute for Organizational Effectiveness.

Marketing The Department of Marketing offers a specialization which helps students in identifying market opportunities and developing and implementing marketing programs. They learn the boundary spanning marketing activities for product, service, and business-to-business markets in a global economy. In addition to a specialization or major in marketing, the department also offers minors in marketing and entrepreneurship, and students can earn a Services in Marketing Certificate.

The marketing department is home to the Institute for Excellence in Services (IES) that provides engagement and learning opportunities for students, faculty, and the business community. The Director of the IES is a former business executive and current Executive-in-Residence in Marketing.

The faculty includes a Fulbright Scholar who has brought international attention to excellence in services marketing. The marketing department also houses the business communications program and faculty.
