Description

Brugmansia arborea is an evergreen shrub reaching about 5 metres (16.4 ft) in height. Leaves are deciduous, pale green, 20–30 cm (7.9–11.8 ) long and 10–15 cm (3.9–5.9 ) wide, alternate, ovate to elliptic, with entire margins and hairy underside. Flowers are fragrant, trumpet-shaped and hanging, white to pale orange, about 30 centimetres (11.8 in) long and 15–20 cm (5.9–7.9 ) in diameter. The flowering period extends from Summer to Fall. The fruits are spindle-shaped.

Habitat

This plant prefers partial shade and temperate or warm climate. It is drought tolerant and requires rich soil and abundant irrigation.
