History
The Camp NeeKauNis land was scouted out originally by Fred Haslam as a representative of Toronto Monthly Meeting in 1931. The purchase of the original land was funded by Albert Rogers, whose family's trust fund to this day helps to run the camp. In 1938, an additional purchase was made to expand the property to 15 acres (60,702.9 m²). The camp was sought out as a retreat centre for Young Friends in Toronto, however has since expanded to serve the entire Quaker community in Canada. In 2005, the camp purchased the neighbouring land to increase the size of the camp to 32 acres (129,499.5 m²).
