The Brazilian Championship of Rugby, or just Super 8, is the main tournament between clubs from the Rugby Union
in Brazil since 1964. The tournament is organized, today, the Brazilian Rugby Association (CBRu).

Since 2009, the competition is disputed with all the teams playing against all in only turn.

Competition format
In the 2006 edition, the competition was disputed by eight clubs, divided in two groups of four teams each. The clubs from one group played against the four clubs of the other group once. However, the clubs did not play against clubs of its own group. The two best placed teams of each group qualified to the semifinals. The semifinals and the final were one-legged matches.Since 2009, the competition is disputed with all the teams playing against all in only turn.
