Campus SuperStar
is a spin-off
of Project SuperStar
, a popular singing talent-search competition in Singapore
. The contestants comprise students from secondary schools, junior colleges and Institutes of Technical Education
(ITEs). This is a little different from Project Superstar
, where contestants must be at least 18 years old to participate.

The 1st Audition for Season 2 started on March 16 with the male contestants. It was scheduled to be only held on 2 days. Audition for female
contestants was scheduled on Saturday March 17. The venue
was at the Toa Payoh
HDB Hub. Each day, audition started as early as 9am. Due to overwhelming response, the 1st Audition was extended to 4 days until 19 March 2007.
Judges on that day were Jimmy Ye, Jim Lim Qi Yu and Wu Jiaming. They gave comments for each contestant.
3rd Audition successfully ended when it was about 6.30pm. An one-hour break followed. Meanwhile, some finalists were requested to perform some songs, and dance. The names of the final 10 students of each gender were finally announced, to compete on national TV.
Javin They and Ngeow Zi Jie tried for the second season of Project Superstar
. But both of them only made it to the Top 40.
Shawn Tok 卓轩正, from Loyang Secondary School, Season 2's youngest competitor at a small age of 13, is well-received by the judges and received commendable scores of 24 and 25 out of 30 from the judges in Quarter Final 1A 4 June 2007 and Revival Round on 16 July 2007, respectively. Despite his body size typical of that of a child, he is equipped with a cute image, backed with a strong, powerful voice. All 3 judges of Season 2 have high hopes for him.
Xu Bin scored the lowest score in Season 2 in Revival Round on 16 July 2007. Each of the judges awarded him a score below 5, which is often considered to be the "passing grade". He obtained only 12.0 points with his monotonous, and badly-articulated rendition of 简单爱.

Fu Kuan made a great improvement from his last performance, and scored 23.5, on par with Elaine's 2nd highest score of this Season.

Shawn Tok, a hot favourite, was shockingly eliminated from the competition. Although he scored 21.5, one of the higher marks among the male contestants, he failed to garner enough votes. He Guo Hao, who was grouped with Shawn during the result show, puked from guilt and crying. Agnes Low was seen to be crying uncontrollably after Shawn's elimination.

Hui Xian, the youngest girl competitor, scored highest but unfortunately didn't receive enough votes, and was eliminated. Benjamin put up a good rendition of Superman and his score of 23.5 tied with Elaine's and Fu Kuan's top score, which was the 2nd highest score in the season so far. Zi Jie's performance took quite a drop when he received the lowest score ever so far during the season.

Pure luck, huge fanbase and vocal techniques were important in this stage.
1 girl and 1 boy were 'revived' to join the other 8 in the Semi Final.
Judges did not give any comment throughout the 1 hour show, but each of the 3 judges gave 4 comments for 2 male and 2 female contestants during the result show.
The highest and lowest score of Season 2 surfaced in this episode. Shawn won a favourable 25 marks from the judges with his powerful rendition of 木乃伊, while Xu Bin scored the lowest score ever in Season 2. Each of the judges awarded him a score below 5, which is often considered to be the "passing grade". Xu Bin obtained only 12.0 with his monotonous, and badly-articulated rendition of 简单爱. Overall, there were also numerous people scoring lower than the previously lowest score of 16.0 - contestants seemed to be underperforming.
Eventually, F5 Seah Hui Xian 谢慧娴, and M6 Shawn Tok 卓轩正, were revived.

Viewers votes from this round account for 70% while judges scores would only be 30% of the overall score. For the next 2 weeks, the semi-finalists will sing drama theme songs.
Zheng Ning received a very low score of 13.5 after performing a lower-key version of 一千年以后, and was off-tune at many parts of the song. However, she surprisingly managed to stay in the competition, probably due to her large fan base. Generally, judges were also given an impression that all 5 female semi-finalists could not manage their low notes properly.

Guo Hao received a very low score of 12.5 for this episode. He was said that he does not have innate natural talent in singing, and that him able to enter the Semi Final is a miracle
that he should go "pray to God
". Guo Hao was grouped with Benjamin for the result, and Guo Hao was eliminated.

Contestants were supposed to sing fast songs accompanied by dancers. Last episode's lowest scorer, Zheng Ning, scored the highest among the female category in this episode. Judges commented that her great stage presence covered up for her lower-quality singing. Zijie scored the lowest in the male category, and it was said that his voice does not suit fast tracks. Zijie was eliminated when results were out. Marcus's birthday fell on this day, and he put up a great performance of 呛司呛司, achieving a very high score of 23.5. Judges were also impressed by the cap-throwing, and glitter-sprinkling Shawn, and dubbed him a 24.

Contestants were to sing songs that were composed by the judges. Prior to this round, Shawn Tok has changed his song from 我总是听你说 to 爱你不是爱给别人看, both by 叶良俊 with unknown reasons. Besides that, Keely Wee also broke a record score held by Shawn Tok (25 marks) by earning half a point higher, having a score of 25.5. Marcus Lee was eliminated despite having the highest points but lowest number of votes out of the 3 boys.

Due to a technical error, Keely's score breakdown was not announced on the day of the Grand Final. However, her score breakdown was shown during the repeat telecast on September 2.
Shawn and Keely emerged as the winners of their respective male and female categories. Keely edged out Zheng Ning with a margin of 56% to 44%, while Shawn's popularity earned him a win with his score of 58%, as compared to Benjamin's 42%.

2nd Audition
From 1st Audition, judges shortlisted close to 100 boys and 200 girls, from a pool of approximately 4500 participants. These 300 shortlisted candidates were subsequently auditioned one by one on March 31, Saturday at MediaCorp from 1pm to 10.30pm. This was done indoors for a panel of 5 judges so that they have a clearer rendition of the quality of the contestants' voices. 60 contestants was shortlisted for 3rd Audition.3rd Audition
The 3rd Audition was on 14 April, and started at 1pm. Similar to 1st Audition, the venue was at Toa Payoh HDB Hub. There were 24 male and 41 female finalists. The male finalists finished their performance before the girls. This time round, finalists would sing in-sync with music, different from the previous 2 rounds of audition. There was a short break after that and girls subsequently performed their piece.Judges on that day were Jimmy Ye, Jim Lim Qi Yu and Wu Jiaming. They gave comments for each contestant.

Public Voting
Voting lines will be open from 8pm to 10pm on each Monday. Each SMS/Telepoll vote costs S$0.60, excluding GST and local traffic charges. According to the Terms & Conditions, voters under 18 years of age must seek parental consent, while pre-paid card holders and overseas phone lines will not be able to vote. Similar to Season 1, there were 2 methods of voting. Note: "x" denotes the contestant's Index Number for a particular episode. Shawn Tok, a hot favourite, was shockingly eliminated from the competition. Although he scored 21.5, one of the higher marks among the male contestants, he failed to garner enough votes. He Guo Hao, who was grouped with Shawn during the result show, puked from guilt and crying. Agnes Low was seen to be crying uncontrollably after Shawn's elimination.

Hui Xian, the youngest girl competitor, scored highest but unfortunately didn't receive enough votes, and was eliminated. Benjamin put up a good rendition of Superman and his score of 23.5 tied with Elaine's and Fu Kuan's top score, which was the 2nd highest score in the season so far. Zi Jie's performance took quite a drop when he received the lowest score ever so far during the season.

Pure luck, huge fanbase and vocal techniques were important in this stage.
1 girl and 1 boy were 'revived' to join the other 8 in the Semi Final.
Judges did not give any comment throughout the 1 hour show, but each of the 3 judges gave 4 comments for 2 male and 2 female contestants during the result show.
The highest and lowest score of Season 2 surfaced in this episode. Shawn won a favourable 25 marks from the judges with his powerful rendition of 木乃伊, while Xu Bin scored the lowest score ever in Season 2. Each of the judges awarded him a score below 5, which is often considered to be the "passing grade". Xu Bin obtained only 12.0 with his monotonous, and badly-articulated rendition of 简单爱. Overall, there were also numerous people scoring lower than the previously lowest score of 16.0 - contestants seemed to be underperforming.
Eventually, F5 Seah Hui Xian 谢慧娴, and M6 Shawn Tok 卓轩正, were revived.

Viewers votes from this round account for 70% while judges scores would only be 30% of the overall score. For the next 2 weeks, the semi-finalists will sing drama theme songs.
Zheng Ning received a very low score of 13.5 after performing a lower-key version of 一千年以后, and was off-tune at many parts of the song. However, she surprisingly managed to stay in the competition, probably due to her large fan base. Generally, judges were also given an impression that all 5 female semi-finalists could not manage their low notes properly.

Contestants were supposed to sing fast songs accompanied by dancers. Last episode's lowest scorer, Zheng Ning, scored the highest among the female category in this episode. Judges commented that her great stage presence covered up for her lower-quality singing. Zijie scored the lowest in the male category, and it was said that his voice does not suit fast tracks. Zijie was eliminated when results were out. Marcus's birthday fell on this day, and he put up a great performance of 呛司呛司, achieving a very high score of 23.5. Judges were also impressed by the cap-throwing, and glitter-sprinkling Shawn, and dubbed him a 24.

Contestants were to sing songs that were composed by the judges. Prior to this round, Shawn Tok has changed his song from 我总是听你说 to 爱你不是爱给别人看, both by 叶良俊 with unknown reasons. Besides that, Keely Wee also broke a record score held by Shawn Tok (25 marks) by earning half a point higher, having a score of 25.5. Marcus Lee was eliminated despite having the highest points but lowest number of votes out of the 3 boys.

This is a bonding session between all contestants of the competition, whether they are the finalists or not. Though so, the main focus was on the Top 4 finalists. Shawn and Keely emerged as the winners of their respective male and female categories. Keely edged out Zheng Ning with a margin of 56% to 44%, while Shawn's popularity earned him a win with his score of 58%, as compared to Benjamin's 42%.
