. Exhibits were devoted to Canada's contribution to sport, arts and culture, development, peacekeeping, and science. Interactive exhibits, activities, and special events are held at the facility and in the surrounding parkland.

After several years of mediocre attendance, the facility closed in the fall of 2005. As of summer 2007 there are discussions of the building either being used by the Governor General for staff offices or being offered to an Embassy.
